Boiler installation
London:
How to install a condensing
boiler
It is critical
that a gas boiler only be fitted by a registered
corgi/gassafe boiler installation professional.
Part a of the
building regulations demand that where a gas boilers are
concerned only high efficiency condensing boilers should be
fitted, with only a few exceptions. This is good news for the
customer and good news for the environment. Set to buck a rated
boilers are usually at home by 90% efficient which means
fuel savings for the customer and lessen damage to the
environment against Arnold non condensing
boilers.
Installing a
high-efficiency domestic boiler is no different than any
type of wall models except for one difference he must fit
condensate train. Other than that it is
exactly the same procedure. So the tools required are
electric drill, called real screwdrivers and grips or
adjustable spanners.
The first big
decision is to choose exact location of the boiler, taking
manufacturers clearances into consideration. This will be influenced by
factors such as where is the old boiler was fitted boiler
size, any potential nuisance from blooming at the flue
terminal, and flew operations to reduce, remove any
issues. The
boiler must be positioned in a suitable place where a route
can be found for the condensate pipe stop
Hanging the
boiler.
The boiler
should now be hung on the wall to ensure that the water and
gas connections match with those of the fixing
Jake. The
boiler should then be removed from the wall and the fixing
Jake can now be pre-plumbed without the boiler in position
with the exception of the condensate outlet and pier of the
pipes. It is
possible to preach on the GAA with the boiler in position
providing that the soldering work on the pipes is done away
from the boiler. The boiler can then be
repositioned on the war and connect to the fixing
Jake.
Installing a
flu.
Attach the flue
elbow to the top of the boiler. This means the distance
between the part of the elbow to the wall plus the thickness
of the wall will give a total length of the flue plus the
extension on the outside to allow for
blooming. It
should be remembered that in most cases is telescopic
from those are available for this purpose. Remember to fit the
Robert Carlyle behind the locating works on the flue
terminal.
The flue can now be fitted to the boiler and secured with
a metal, provided along with the fixing
screws.
Condensate
pipes.
This is the
additional part of installing the boiler against the
standard efficiency installation. The condensate pipe needs
to be connected to an internal or external drain or so,
I. Connection
to an internal drain is preferred to remove the possibility
of freezing the condensate siphon fitted complies with
building regulations son additional air gap is not required
and stop there is usually a range of accessories available
to simplify the condensate train connection. It is best if there can be
a continual fall from the boiler to the point of connection
with the waste pipe.
Electrical
connections.
Connection of the boiler to the electrical system and any
heating system must be through a common isolator and must be
carried out by a competent person in accordance with
building regulations approval document p and BS
7671. Isolation
should preferably be by a double poll switched, fused spur
box. The box
should be readily accessible and verbally adjacent to the
boiler.
Commissioning.
Ensure the
boiler has been fitted in compliance with the manufacturer’s
instructions.
Ensure the
pipework system is full of water and there also has been
commissioned in compliance with the manufacturer’s
instructions.
The air should
be purged from the system.
It is critical
that the working pressure at the appliance must be
correct.
The burner
pressure needs to be checked and the appliance gas rate must
also comply with the manufacturer’s
recommendations.
Ignition must be
checked flame picture and stability must all be
correct.
All the safety
controls need to be checked, this is what temperature,
safety, and all customer controls.
The new flue
system must be checked to be sound and operating
correctly. The
plume from the boiler must not cause a nuisance and must
comply with buildings regulations.
At this point
the boiler and be handed over to the
customer.
The details of operation should be explained and the use
of all controls.
