A
Lincolnshire family left without heating for
six months have finally had a replacement
boiler installed.
Rebecca and Graham Drury from
Grantham and their two young
children had been living in a
single room because of delays in fixing
their
central heating.
The family were waiting for
the boiler to be fixed under the
government's
Warm Front scheme which helps
families on low incomes with heating
repairs.
Their new boiler was last
week as assured by officials.
Rebecca Drury said: "They
came Monday and Tuesday last week and fitted
a
combi-boiler, they took out
the immersion heater and they've put in
new
radiators.
"It's lovely we don't have to
go to my mum's to have a bath."
A spokesperson from the
scheme earlier said the Drury's application is
within
their expected
time frameThe family applied to the Warm Front
scheme when their central
heating boiler
would cost more than £3,000 to repair after it
stopped working in
October.
